Avenging Alex (web) - Directed by Eric Ayala

ALEX SOLOMON, an event planner to the entertainment elite, is living the high life in Atlanta, Georgia. Her lifestyle and her business are backed by notorious Colombian drug lord XAVIER RIVERA. Alex finds her life becoming more complicated when she gets sexually involved with a local mechanic, TIRRELL ELLIS.

Drawn to the trappings of her world, Tirrell ultimately discovers how Alex makes the bulk of her money and he wants in on it. Tirrell becomes a liability when he starts using the product that he’s supposed to be selling. Alex breaks it off and threatens his family should he ever expose her secret.

Tirrell’s half-brother KEVIN, an assistant DA, is working with the feds to get to Rivera. A violent altercation forces Tirrell to come clean with what he knows forcing Alex to turn against Rivera. She and her mother (and baby by Tirrell that he knows nothing about) are taken into witness protection and relocated to California. While in custody Alex falls for her married FBI handler JOHN CHASE, and he falls for her. Unbeknownst to either of them John’s partner HARLEY DONOVAN is in Xavier’s pocket in more ways than one. When Harley divulges Alex’s whereabouts the pursuit becomes more deadly and the body count keeps adding up.

Director Biography - Eric Ayala

Eric Ayala is an award-winning writer, director, author, actor, singer, and producer. He's been published in 3 genres – all 3 pseudonyms he uses are variations of his full name.

Ayala's first book Restoration, an inspirational fiction, was published in 1997. Then in 1998, he wrote, directed and produced the stage play Will You Be Made Whole which debuted on stage at the 14th Street Playhouse. The play was followed later that year with what was to become the first in the wholeness series. The book Will You Be Made Whole was followed by the success of the sequel Alabaster Box…Two Women One Struggle, and then …if I should die before I wake. Will You Be Made Whole [the play] continued to perform well over the next 3 years.

In 2007 Eric entered a contest for women’s fiction under the pseudonym Erica Lewis and won a national book deal with Urban Soul and Kensington Publishing and penned the titles Arlington Heights [2008] and Darkness In The Mirror [2009].

In 2010 Eric was contracted to write the screenplay for Sunday Morning Rapture for End Touch Movies. The film was released in 2011 and went on to win several awards BEST Feature at the Capital City Black Film Festival in 2013. Currently, the film is streaming on Amazon Prime and Hulu.

In the early part of 2012, under the pseudonym, Lewis Ericson, the “urban street lit” title OUTCAST, published under the imprint Urban Renaissance was released nationally in December 2012. The sequel, Avenging Alex, followed in 2013-2014. His provocative novel The Mansion was also published under this pseudonym. In March 2015, under the pen name Lewis Ericson, a new deal was inked with Page Publishing. Retribution was released in 2016.

In the summer of 2015, Eric wrote the screenplay adapted from his novel …if I should die before I wake. Thus far the screenplay has been honored by 26 Indie Film Festivals.

The movie Cancer, and End Touch Movies production, that Eric was contracted to write for, is due for release in 2020.
